All POTENZA Tips Play a Key Role in Treatment: Why POTENZA Is a Truly Multifunctional RF Device

Based on actual treatment examples using three types of Tips, we propose important points to consider when selecting RF treatment devices.

The Key Factors in Choosing POTENZA Were Its High Versatility and Effective Utilization of All Tips (06:38-)

When considering RF skin tightening devices, we chose POTENZA because we can utilize all of its Tips. Unlike other devices that claim to be multifunctional, each of POTENZA’s 15 Tip delivers reliable clinical results and is used frequently. In particular, CP TIP, A1 TIP, and SFA TIP have been used on a total of 296 patients over the past two and a half years, achieving high satisfaction and repeat visit rates.
The cost of the Tips may seem high in some cases, but the excellent treatment results make it easy to recoup the cost, which is a reassuring factor when deciding to introduce it.

POTENZA’s Treatment Indications and its System (09:09-)

POTENZA combines needle and non-needle RF, offering a variety of approaches with a combination of 1 MHz and 2 MHz, monopolar and bipolar modes. With a total of 15 Tips, including the newly added DDR TIP, it can treat a wide range of conditions, including acne and acne scars, pores, fine lines, sweat gland tumors, sebaceous hyperplasia, and crow’s feet around the eyes.

CP TIP, with its negative and positive pressure Drug Delivery System, enables uniform and effective drug penetration. Furthermore, depending on the drug selected, treatment can be tailored to specific purposes such as anti-inflammation, whitening, and rejuvenation, enabling a personalized approach to each patient’s skin concerns.

Case 1: CP TIP + McCoom Introduction for Acne Scar (11:22-)

A CP TIP application case. we mainly used for rolling-type and boxcar-type atrophic scars, in combination with McCoom. Three treatments administered at one-month intervals. The thermal effect on the epidermis to dermis layer promoted dermal reconstruction, leading to improvements in pore size and skin tone. For ice pick-type scars, RF irradiation alone has limitations, so TCA peeling is often combined after initial superficial treatment of the entire area.
The irradiation depth and energy are adjusted according to the treatment area, and the uniform delivery of drugs through Drug Delivery System improves skin quality. This treatment not only improves scars but also brightens the overall complexion.

Case 2: Treatment of sweat gland tumors and sebaceous gland hyperplasia using A1 TIP (19:09-)

Previously, carbon dioxide lasers were used to treat benign tumors (sweat gland tumors, sebaceous hyperplasia, etc.), but now we have switched to thermal denaturation treatment using RF energy. A1 TIP selectively applies heat to the affected area, minimizing the risk of pigmentation and depression while delivering high efficacy. With only three treatments, recurrence is rare, and patient satisfaction is high.
Compared to carbon dioxide lasers, the shorter downtime is advantageous from a cosmetic perspective, especially for visible areas of the face. The low recurrence rate, non-invasive nature, and effectiveness result in high patient satisfaction.

[Case 3] Improvement of wrinkles around the eyes using SFA TIP (22:03-)

SFA TIP delivers heat to a depth of 0.23 mm, which is equivalent to the depth of the epidermis and superficial dermis, ensuring safe irradiation of the area around the infraorbital bone. This is one of the few non-invasive treatments that can address deep wrinkles at external canthus. Significant improvement has been reported in a case after three treatments.
Laser treatment around the eyes has safety restrictions, but SFA TIP is extremely effective for treating wrinkles around the eyes due to its safe and accurate heat transfer. The device is gaining popularity as a non-invasive treatment option.

Summary: Reasons to choose POTENZA (23:10–)

POTENZA’s greatest strength lies not only in its multifunctionality, but in the fact that each function can be utilized in actual clinical practice. With a low risk of certain Tips remain unused after introduction and a wide range of treatable conditions, this device offers an excellent return on investment.
Going forward, our clinic plans to expand clinical applications by conducting verification of the combined use of DDR TIP released in Japan and existing Diamond TIP.
