Principles and features of carbon dioxide laser (0:44-)
CO2 laser is a gaseous laser with 10,600 nm wavelength. Thermal energy is generated in the moisture in the skin, shaving off targeted lesion tissue by heat as the moisture evaporates.
A benefit of treatment with CO2 laser is that it is surgical in nature, with no use of a scalpel. Only the lesion tissue can be removed without damaging the skin.
Short irradiation exerts minor thermal coagulation/thermal denaturation effect on the tissue. Longer, stronger effects exerted.
This adjustability allows Edge ONE to perform sensitive procedures.
Edge ONE is equipped with Surgical Mode and Fractional Mode. I ‘ll introduce here the treatment using the Surgical Mode.

The use of a lower frequency setting is preferable for patients who are not familiar with it.
