For those suffering from acne and acne scars, finding effective and lasting treatments can be a challenge. At our clinic in the Hokusetsu area of Osaka, we always strive to provide the latest cosmetic dermatology treatments, one of which is the POTENZA needle RF device. We introduced POTENZA in 2020. This device is known for its high efficacy in the treatment of acne and acne scars; POTENZA features a wide variety of tips and hand pieces to treat a wide range of skin problems. It can treat acne, acne scars, syringoma, red face, pore treatment, tightening, and much more.
Notably, POTENZA is highly effective in improving skin texture with little downtime. As of June 2024, the clinic has performed a total of 317 POTENZA treatments, with an average of 2.39 sessions per patient. Most patients have received 3-5 sessions.
Case Studies
Localized acne scars
A 36-year-old female patient showed significant improvement after a single treatment: acne scars from her teenage years on her temples, treated with CP tips, resulted in a much shallower indentation and a smoother feel after one month.
A 34-year-old female patient, also suffering from extensive acne scars, showed marked improvement after one treatment. The patient herself felt there was very little downtime.
Acne scars on the cheeks
A 34-year-old female patient showed obvious improvement after three treatments. After 3 months of monthly treatment with CP tips, the patient showed obvious improvement in her craters.
Acne on the faceline
She was treated with both A-12(sebaceous gland destruction)Tip and CP Tip. Prior to treatment, she was asked to suspend all topical and oral medicines to check POTENZA’s efficacy. 3 months later, a marked improvement was noted and no new acne followed.
Severe acne scarring
This male patient had been treated with dermapen and microneedling with limited results prior to our introducing POTENZA; one treatment with POTENZA resulted in significant improvement, and two treatments resulted in improved cratering and reduction of new acne.
