New and Innovative Method for Successful Body Contouring

Thank you for visiting the website of Jeisys Medical Japan.

HIFU is not only used for those with facial line concerns, but can also be used for body concerns. It can address body line concerns that cannot be solved by simply losing weight.

About Body Contouring (1:42~)

Many of you already have or are about to purchase body equipment. Radiofrequency and HIFU are the most commonly used and effective among such devices.

The first device used was “Liposonix,” but the process often took longer than planned and was painful, requiring anesthesia.Devices with less pain were not readily available, so we used sleep anesthesia and other procedures.

Later, the linear HIFU theory became widely known that fat cells could be destroyed by effectively applying heat not higher than 60°C to a single area, but to a larger area.

Features of LINEARZ (ULTRAcel[zi:]) (12:05~)

First, let me explain the dot type and the linear type.

The dot type irradiates energy to one very small point. The temperature at the spot where it is applied rises quickly, but it has little effect on its surroundings. Meanwhile, the linear type gives energy deeply over a wider area destroying fat cells, which are then expected to be expelled from the body.

In fact, the linear type was found to be able to destroy fat as well as the surrounding fibrous septum. When energy of 0.7Jul per shot was given at a depth of 4.5mm, the temperature in that area reached over 58°C, a level at which the destruction of fat cells could be expected.

The most important factor in my opinion is pain. The dot type has pain levels 4 and 5, while the linear type has levels 2 and 3 mostly and is much less painful and hot.

Also, area of body is much larger than that of face, so short treatment time is critical. LINEARZ (ULTRAcel[zi:]) can perform a round irradiation by pressing the irradiation button once. The previous “LINEAR FIRM” took about 3 minutes for 300 shots, but the LINEARZ (ULTRAcel[zi:]) takes less than 2 minutes. Quick treatment time is a big advantage in body treatments.

Key Points on using LINEARZ (ULTRAcel[zi:]) in treatment (23:21~)

The first step is a design, planning and patient history check. Particularly, be sure to check the following;

Has the patient had a HIFU like this before?

Was the patient satisfied at that time?

Why did the patient feel it was ineffective?

Most crucial is to accurately identify the patient’s needs. You should confirm whether they want to improve only that area or whether they want to reduce the overall body size.

Any medications or other potentially affected items should be checked. I also check the patient’s menstrual cycle. This is because it can affect the patient’s pain and the inconvenience and duration of the post-treatment period.

Having grasped the patient’s needs, physical condition, etc., then check the fat and cellulite in the treated area.  Areas with relatively thin skin and fat require more attention. The back of the thighs and knees, just below the hips, require special attention to nerve travel.

Bone marrow nerves run through the elbow, both externally and medially. Care must be taken when designing an area with nerve passages.

This is based on a document by Prof. KyungHee Byun of Gachon University. I use this as a reference and set the energy value at about 0.6 to 0.7. If the energy value is higher than this, there is a possibility of unwanted results such as increased pain and inflammatory reactions around the treated area.

Start the procedure at about 0.6J. For patients with thicker energy depths, you can use 9mm or 11mm, and for those with a bit thinner than that, use 9mm to 4.5mm or 6.0mm if available.

I basically do 1000 shots on each arm, which is more shots than average, and finish with skin tightening. This makes the surface of the skin more supple and gives a cleaner overall line.

Do not overlap too much at the beginning of irradiation, and always move in close contact during the irradiation. Repeat this process to prevent post-treatment side effects as much as possible.

4. Actual treatment and Q&A (34:35~)

In the video, we discuss in detail again what we explained earlier, so it is easier to understand. Also, we have included many before and after photos of the treatment so that you can see the changes.
